My Night in the Slammer

My Step-bro Jason told me that last night he dreamed I got thrown in the slammer for a DWI. The sad thing is, this could totally happen. His dream went something like this:

Cop: Ma’am, step out of the car.

Me: Um, I can’t. I have Lyme Disease and it is hard for me to get up.

Cop: Sure it is.

(cops drag me out of car)

Cop: Now, touch your nose.

Me: Um, I can’t. The lyme gave me bad bursitis and my arms can’t reach up that far.

Cop: Sure they can’t. Okay then, stand on one foot.

Me: I will try, but I don’t think I can. (I try and immediately fall over)

At that point they sent me to jail and Jason had to come bail me out.

As I have mentioned before, my doc does a couple of sobriety type tests in his office each time. I usually want to cry and laugh when I realize that I am so sick that I could easily fail a field sobriety test even though I am completely sober. Luckily I would pass the breathalyzer test– my lungs work great.

In the dream, I think you just said “Okay” when asked to stand one foot, and then you fell over. It was more comical than sad.
