Poetic Justice

I have been suffering from bad karma since I wrote the post Shit Happens.

Not two seconds after I published that post, Cooper decided that he enjoys removing his diaper during nap time and having some extra-curricular “art” activities. It has been really frustrating. And gross. Oh yeah, and should I even mention that our Chihuahua, Anna likes to run in his room when nap time is over and look for scooby snacks? Ugh. No doggy kisses for me.

Our desire to remedy this problem immediately probably does not come as much of a surprise to you. Our “fix” however, might: duct tape. Yep, that’s right. Add that to the many household uses of duct tape. We duct tape his pants around the waist so he can’t get to his diaper. Works like a charm.

In honor of this toddler phase, I have written three Haiku poems for your review. Enjoy.

My brown finger paint,
Inspires Mom to create.
She writes a “Haipu”

My pants are duct taped
to keep me from my art work,
finger paint with poo

A duct tape failure
frees me from creative blocks.
Now. . .covered in poo.

Please feel free to forward any of your own creations. Of poems, that is.
