Put The Last Golden Nail in The Coffin, Already!

Huh?  Are we talking about the same Michael Jackson, here?

He was the very definition of strange.

I know not all of you will agree with me, but here goes.   I AGREE Michael Jackson was a very talented and prolific singer, dancer, choreographer, producer.  I even got to see him in concert.  But, you know what, folks?  He was a tormented soul.   He was a self-mutilator.  He was an alleged pedophile. More than once.  Even if you believe he was innocent, by his own admission, he gave “Jesus Juice” to young boys and let them sleep in his bed.  He was creepy.  He was strange.

I realize that as a child star who was over-worked from the age of five by an abusive father, he didn’t have a chance at normalcy.  That is sad, really.

I am glad that he is at peace, and I am glad the spectacle of his funeral is over.

I think it is ridiculous that a bankrupt state helped pay for his memorial service.  Supposedly his estate is bankrupt, yet he was buried in a gold fancy-ass coffin.  I predict that the “unreleased” songs he wrote his children (who he never legally adopted) will, in fact, be released.  That will bring his estate lots of money.  And, since his death, his records are topping the charts again- bringing his estate even more money.  I also predict his estate will never repay the  State of California.

People were calling him a hero.  Dude.  A hero is the guy who dove into the Potomac to pluck survivors from icy waters after the plane crash and then disappeared without so much as giving his name to the clamoring media.  A hero is a husband who has cared for his sick wife for four years without so much as a complaint.

I don’t mean to say he wasn’t one of the best in his business.  But, he wasn’t a hero.   A dancer and singer is. . . .well. . . . a dancer and singer.
