I Can’t Believe I am Blogging About NASCAR

Speaking of Toyota, there is a contest called “Design A Cup Car” that allows people to suggest different designs for the cars in the 2010 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.  There is a design for Lyme awareness.

If you have a seccond to help raise awareness, please vote.  As of now, we are in 20th place out of almost 76,000 cars.  We need to get in the top ten to get to the next round. You can vote every day until the end of the month.

The car doesn’t even touch the reality of this awful disease, but it will hopefully pique the interest of a few. As they say, any advertising is good, and this is basically a moving billboard.

As an added bonus, this may be the only way my “white trash” roots will get involved.  Their interest in NASCAR is a given.  Possibly even genetic.   Now they can read the slogans on the car as it drives around,and around, and around, for hours.

    Thanks for your vote– even though we didn’t make it in the top ten, we got to 15th place, and got a lot of exposure and hopefully gained some awareness about this awful disease.
